Ada Scarlett Mosey has Arrived!

I recently posted maternity pictures of the Mosey family who were anxiously awaiting their newest addition. On May 20th, Ada Scarlett arrived! I photographed her brother when he was just a few days old and several times during his first year and I can not believe how much she resembles Jude at that age. She is still working on her smile but I think we got some really sweet images of her. Welcome to the world baby girl!

Cathy & Matt's Wedding

Cathy & Matt's wedding ceremony at Connection Point Christian Church in Brownsburg started out with nothing out of the ordinary until the wedding guests noticed that the flowers had caught fire during the prayer. After a brief moment of panic Cathy's day calmly picked up the candelabra like it was the Olympic torch and carried it out of the sanctuary. It certainly made for a memorable ceremony. After the ceremony, the bridal party and I went to Heritage Park in Fishers for some outside shots. It was incredibly hot that day but Cathy, Matt and the bridal party were sweet to humor me so we could get the photos. We then headed to Marriott North for their reception. I normally see a bridal party dance at weddings but Cathy's dad did his own dance with his daughter and the bridesmaids. It was a huge hit. I had such a great time at this wedding. It was truly a memorable one. Congratulations Cathy & Matt!

Leila's 9 Month Session

Leila is by far one of my favorite little girls in the Watch Me Grow plan. She changes so much every time we do a session with her. Leila was born with a full head of black hair and it just gets longer and curlier by the second. She is so adorable! This was her 9 month session at the Broadripple Art Center. She enjoyed showing off her standing skills all over the park and I think we got some really cute shots which is never a hard thing to accomplish with her. She will also have her 1 year portrait in the fall which I am looking forward to.

Vincent's 9 Month Session

Vincent just seems to get bigger and more smiley every time I see him. I recently shot his 9 month session in Zionsville at his Grandparents home. As everyone in Indiana knows it has been an incredibly hot summer and this day was no exception but despite the heat we got some really fun shots around the yard. I am very excited to shoot his 1 year in the fall. How the time flies!

Ashley & Randy Maternity Session

This is the first baby for Ashley and Randy. We did their maternity session about a week ago. I was excited to do the black and whites in studio because it was my first official shoot in my new space which is still under renovation. Ashley and Randy are expecting a boy in the next few weeks and she was such a trooper for letting me drag them around the Broadripple Art Center in the heat. I will be shooting the baby pictures as well so check back for updates on his arrival. I can't wait to meet him!

Danielle & Peter's Wedding

A couple of weeks ago Danielle and Peter were married in Westfield. I was super excited for this wedding on account of it was my first military wedding. The couple and their bridesmaids and groomsmen were so much fun to work with and they day seemed to fly by in what felt like a few minutes. Danielle and her mom did such an amazing job pulling this wedding together is such a short time. The couple had to leave for Germany just days after the wedding. I hurried to get this post up today because Peter starts with the Special Forces tomorrow and will be away for a while. I wish the couple all the happiness in the world and thank them for having me there on their special day. Congratulations Danielle and Peter and good luck in Germany!

Jude's 2 & Going to be a Big Brother!

I have not seen Jude since his first birthday a year ago. He and his parent have been in Bolivia for the past year and are now home and expecting a new addition to the family and day now. It is amazing to see what a little man Jude has grown into. Although his mom and dad have been trying to warm him up to the idea of being a big brother, he wants nothing to do with mom's belly. I am sure he is going to be an awesome big brother though and I can not wait to meet his new brother or sister!

UPDATE: Ted, Caroline and Jude welcomed Ada Scarlett on May 20th. I can not wait to meet her and shoot her newborn photos. Stay Tuned!

Jean & Tom Get Married!

On the 1st of May I photographed Jean and Tom's wedding at the Garrison. The rain held off just long enough to shoot the formal shots outside beforehand. We then headed inside for the ceremony. The big beautiful windows at the Garrison gave off such a pretty light and I especially love that the wedding guests used the bubbles for the couples first dance. It was very magical looking. I am so excited to announce that Claire Corbin Photography is moving to a new location July 1st! The new studio will be at 63rd and Westfield in the office building just north of Brugge and McDonalds right in the heart of Broadripple. I will be doing all the renovations myself (with the help of my wonderful husband) in the next few months so keep checking in for updates. I am so excited to have a more formal shooting space and more room to display my work. One of the best parts of my new office is the views of the White River. Maeve's 1 Year Session

Kate & Nick's San Francisco Rooftop Wedding

This was a truly beautiful wedding I photographed last month in San Francisco. The wedding was held at the Hotel Vitale just across from the Ferry building in the financial district of San Francisco. The weather was sunny and then rainy all morning but everything cleared up just in time for the gorgeous rooftop ceremony with the Bay Bridge as the backdrop for the wedding. Nick and Kate were so fun and laid back to work with and I feel so honored to have been a part of their special day. With Nick being Australian he had a ton of family and friends make the trip for the wedding. Everyone gave amazing toasts and danced well into the night. I want to thank Nick and Kate for inviting me to San Fran and giving me such beautiful images for my portfolio!

The World Series of Beer Pong V

For the third year in a row I returned to Las Vegas to photograph the World Series of Beer Pong. I look forward to this all year and have enjoyed watching it get bigger and better every year. This year they brought in G-Unit's DJ Whoo Kid it spin during the event as well as having UFC's Bruce Buffer to announce the final game again. Another highlight this year was having Ross Matthews and Owen Benjamin come out and do a segment for the Jay Leno Show which was so fun to watch as well as shoot. I wanted to congratulate team Smashing Time for wining for the second year in a row. They are truly amazing to watch and photograph.

Vincent's 3 Month Session

Glenda and Doug's Wedding

This was my last wedding of 2009 so I feel like I am finally getting caught up on my blog. Glenda and Doug held a beautiful fall wedding at the Ritz Charles with an amazingly delicious brunch after the ceremony. It was nice to do something a little different. There were a ton of kids at the wedding and the reception turned into an awesome afternoon dance party. I was fully entertained the entire time. I want to thank Glenda and Doug for having me at the wedding and closing out my 2009 wedding season with a bang!

The Dramatic Club Christmas Ball

Every other year the Dramatic Club puts on their Christmas Ball and Presentation of Daughters. This was my second year doing this gorgeous event at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. I love seeing all the different white dressed that the debutantes have on and seeing them be presented with their fathers and escorts. It is like having 15 brides running around which is a ton of fun for me. I always have my work cut out for me making sure they all get photographed but I so enjoy this event. The Roof does such an amazing job decorating for the holidays as well. It always truly feels like Christmas there and I hope to be a part of the event again in 2011!

The Moss Family

This was the first time I ever shot at the Eller Heritage Park in Fishers. The leaves were perfect for the shoot. Between the cobblestone walls and the fall foliage it is one of new favorite portrait locations not to mention it is nice to have somewhere new to shoot in Fishers. I have known Mel and her family for a few years so we made this a quickie shoot because everyone was anxious to get home for the Colts game that day. Everyone knows I love dogs so I was excited that we got to incorporate Louie Pete Moss the family's new boxer as well.

Megan and Woody's Wedding

I am so behind on my blog but I wanted to post some of Megan and Woody's wedding that I shot back in October. I loved this couple. They were one of the funniest and easy couples to work with. They had a beautiful ceremony at St. Pius. The groom, Woody has 4 sisters so instead of groomsmen he had groomswomen. His sisters wore the red dresses and Megan's bridesmaids wore the black. I loved working with the contrast of the two colors. It was such a fun unique idea!

I photographed these siblings back in late summer and it was a Christmas present for their mother so I couldn't post it until now. I have known this family for many years now and it is so amazing to see them as adults these days. Seeing these pictures also makes me long for warm weather again already! On Halloween this year I photographed the sister of one of my brides from last year. The weather was so perfect for this shoot and their daughter Maeve could not be more adorable in her pumpkin hat. Brittany & Brad's Wedding

I shot Brittany & Brad's wedding on a very windy day in October at the White River Gardens downtown. I love shooting at this location. It has so much to offer. There is color, texture, light and details everywhere you turn. There is so much to work with I could spend hours shooting there. The weather cut a lot of our pictures short but we moved inside for a nice intimate reception. Dave and Rae as always provided awesome entertainment into the evening. From Engagement, to Marriage, to Baby!

I absolutley love Laura and Scott. Three years ago the booked me for their wedding. We did their engagement session on a cold winter day downtown. They were married on a beautiful spring day last year and this fall they welcomed their daughter Marlee. I feel so honored that they have included me as a part of all of these major events in their lives. Marlee could not be more adorable. Even though we made her cry I loved the IU Purdue shot we did. I can't wait to watch her grow!

Myers 6 Month Session

We shot the session right before the leaves changed so we were able to get the last of the summer colors. I am so behind on my blog! I hope to have lots of posts in the next few weeks and get all caught up. Anyway, on September 26th I photographed Ashley and Derick's wedding at Valle Vista. It was such a beautiful day. The weather held up all day and only started to rain as the night time ceremony got under way. I was glad we were able to utilize all the gorgeous locations Valle Vista has to offer before the rain set in. I had photographed Ashley, Derick and Derick's son Kyler earlier in the year for their engagement photos. I love that they included Kyler in their engagement photos as well as having him play a big part in their ceremony. It was wonderful to see them officially become a family. We did several shots along the Canal and then walked over to Lucas Oil stadium. They have season tickets as well as a brick at the stadium so it was really fun to incorporate this part of their lives in the session.

On August 21st I photographed Nicole and Joe's wedding at The White River Gardens downtown next to the Indianapolis Zoo. This was my first time shooting at the Gardens and I could not have asked for a more beautiful location to shoot a wedding at. Everywhere you turn is a beautiful shot. I have another wedding here in October and I am so excited to go back. Nicole and Joe put together a really beautiful wedding and despite a small rain delay the moment Nicole began to walk down the aisle the sun came out in full force. This is a sure sign of how far behind I am on my blog. These are Nicole and Mike's maternity pictures as well as pictures of their new daughter Leila at just one week old. I photographed Nicole and Mike's wedding last June. I was so thrilled to hear that they were expecting. We did a Maternity session a few weeks ago and last week I went back to their home to meet and photograph their new daughter Leila who could not be more adorable with her long black hair! I also love that Mike's other daughter was in town and able to be a part of the pictures. The Barnaby Family

Last weekend I photographed some friends of ours and their little boy Eddie. I think almost all children are cute but Eddie is absolutely adorable. We shot at my new favorite location for portraits behind the Boradripple Art Center. The grounds have so much to offer as far as trees, shade, sculptures, rocks, benches, flowers you name it. We tried our best to incorporate the family dog in some shots but the nearby squirrels made it virtually impossible. I can't wait to see what this location looks like in the fall. I hope to do a lot more portrait there in the future.

Katie & John's Wedding

On 7.11.09 I photographed Katie and John's wedding. I had done engagement pictures for them in Lafayette last year so I was really excited for this wedding. It is amazing that Katie still hired me after our first meeting when I locked us out of the studio but she decided to go with me and it has been a pleasure working with her and John ever since. Their wedding had so many fun and interesting details but I especially loved Katie's wedding tennis shoes that she wore the whole day. The ceremony was held at Danville Christian Church. When we arrived it was pouring down rain and thundering but by the time they exited the church the sun came out and the day turned out beautiful. I truly loved working with this couple. They were so much fun and I can't wait to meet their newest edition.. Zeke the miniature Goldendoodle who arrives this fall. Congratulations Katie & John!

Katie & Kris's Wedding

In June I had the pleasure of photographing Katie and Kris's wedding. This was a really fun group to work with. I love photographing at St. John as well as the Omni downtown. The the two venues always provide such a beautiful backdrop for weddings. The Omni is known for it's gorgeous staircase and it always makes for great bridal party entrances. Katie and Kris's bridal party did all different and highly amusing entrances which were a huge hit with the wedding guests. I have seen creative entrances before but this particular bridal party did an awesome job. Thank you Katie and Kris for having me as part of your wedding. I had a blast!

Indy 500!

I am really behind on posting this one but I had the privilege of being hired to do some promotional photography for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at the Indy 500 this year. I was given full credentials to go anywhere and everywhere for Carb Day as well as Race day. I had not been to the track since I was little so seeing the race and the track from every single perspective was truly amazing. I was in the pits for the Pit Stop Challenge which was really exciting to watch up close but I do have to say that the highlight of the weekend for me was seeing Melora Hardin and Kate Flannery who play Jan and Meredith on The Office. I feel kind of bad about that being my highligh since I was at the greatest spectical in racing and I was more excited about the celebrities but it was an amazing experience that I was so thrilled to be a part of. I could not have had a better track experience even though I was working.

Angela & Bryan's Wedding

On June 13th I photographed Angela & Bryan's wedding. I originally met with Angela about the wedding and then later put together that I knew Bryan thru mutual friends in high school. This wedding was an absolutely gorgeous event. The pink colors Angela chose for the wedding just popped so beautifully. I especially loved shooting at Second Presbyterian Church again because that was the church where my parents were married 34 years ago. I am so glad they chose me to be a part of the wedding! Welcome Hudson Leuer!

In early June Hudson Lauer was born. I came to the house a day after he was brought home. Hudson's parents have been trying to have a baby for a long time so I was thrilled when he finally arrived. Hudson's dad is a major Cubs fan so he was so excited to get him all decked out in his Cubs gear. I am glad we were able to incorporate Justin and Alicia's dogs in a few shots as well. They are going to do my "Watch Me Grow" plan so keep checking back to see Hudson grow over the next year!

Caron & Greg's Wedding, Sarasota, FL

I photographed Caron & Greg's wedding at the end of May in Sarasota, Florida at the Powel Crosley Estate. This was such a special wedding because this was the exact location that I was married at in 2005. Similar to my wedding is was a beautiful and very hot day. Caron & Greg's friends were a blast and I was so happy to be a part of the wedding. My husband's family has a home in Sarasota and I am hoping to branch out and offer my services to the central Florida area if anyone knows of someone in need of wedding or portrait photography. My husband and I got to spend the 4th with Caron & Greg in Florida and we had an awesome time watching the fireworks together on the beach. We are excited to have some new Florida friends and hope to see them next time we are down. Congrats Caron and Greg!

Backyard Christening

A few weeks ago I got to photograph a backyard Christening ceremony for a couple of girls my sister and I went to school with. It has been years since I had seen Amanda or Molly and it was so good to see them again and meet their husbands and children. The Nature Conservancy Groundbreaking Ceremony

I am a little behind on my blog so bear with me. On April 16th I was hired to photograph the groundbreaking ceremony for the Nature Conservancy's new Indiana headquarters. Mayor Greg Ballard as well as several others spoke at the event about the many green features and benefits that the building will offer the city. The building once constructed will be able to apply for certification as a LEED Platinum building, the highest possible recognition for green buildings and would be the first of its kind for the city. After the session, 9 images from the shoot are professionally arranged in a beautiful double matted frame so you can always remember when your baby was that small. Over the weekend I hosted my first annual Easter special with live bunnies. The event was so much fun for me and I felt like we got some really cute shots. I want to thank the people that came out for the event and thank Randy and Ashley for the use of their bunny Polly. Happy Easter!

Natalie & Nick's Engagement Session

A few weeks ago I photographed Natalie and her fiance Nick in the studio. They are getting married in northern Indiana later this May but they wanted to get some engagement pictures done in town.
