New Puppy Bentley!

Last fall I posted photographs of Katie & Brad's engagement session in Lafayette. They are set to be married this coming June. They contacted me recently because they got a new puppy. Bentley is a miniature poodle and could not be a sweeter puppy. Photographing black animals is not an easy challenge so we photographed the three of them in the studio. It was a really fun Saturday and I am happy we got to document the newest addition to their family.

World Series of Beer Pong IV, Las Vegas

The first week of January, I returned to Las Vegas to photograph the World Series of Beer Pong for the second year in a row. The WSOBP is a ridiculously fun event put on every year by www.bpong.com for a grand prize of $50,000. The event just seems to get bigger and better every year. They even brought in Bruce Buffer the UFC ring announcer for the final match this year. It was so much fun to see my favorite teams from last year come back and compete again. I also enjoyed making lots of new friends this year. My photo even made the cover s ESPN.com which I was so excited about. If you are a fan of the game you need to check out the website www.bpong.com.

Caron & Greg's Engagement, Sarasota, FL

I shot this engagement session shortly after Chirstmas in Sarasota, FL.  This shoot was especially exciting for me because the location we shot at was at the mansion where I had my own wedding.  I met Caron this summer when she was a bridesmaid at a wedding I was photographing in Culver, IN.  On the ride to the reception we got to talking and made the connection that she would be getting married at the Crosley Mansion in Sarasota this year.  I can not believe what a strange coincidence this was and I could not have been more thrilled to hear back from her a couple of months later when she hired me to photograph her wedding.  We had a really fun day together and I am more excited than ever for their wedding in May.  Stay tuned!

2nd Annual Furry Friends Open House

December 6th The Paw Patch, City Dog Grocery and I held our 2nd Annual Furry Friends Open House.  Our turn out this year was slightly diminished by the snow storm that kicked up that morning but we still had a good number of awesome dog owners that brought in their pets for photos with Santa, goodie bags, holiday shopping and refreshments.  As many of you already know I am a huge dog person so this is by far one of my favorite photo shoots of the year.  I love seeing all the different dog breeds in their holiday attire and I can't wait to do it again next year.  Happy Holidays!

The Bowden/Tittle Family

I have not had a post in quite a while because I have been so slammed with the holidays but I wanted to get this in-home portrait up.  I love doing multi-family portraits in the home.  They just make the portrait all the more personal.  The occasion was Jackson's 2nd birthday but it was also a great time to get the whole family together for some family shots before the newest edition arrives in February.  I have photographed this family several times before so it is wonderful to see them continue to grow.  I can not wait to meet the newest edition in February.  I know Jackson will be an awesome big brother.

Greener Photography

I was looking thru my old college friend Jason Frizzelle's blog this evening and came across a post about an organization called Greener Photography. I am really excited about joining this group. I have always tried to be environmentally conscious with my life as well as my business as far as using recycled folders for my prints and recycling everything in my studio down to the dozens of cardboard boxes I get from my lab and my album companies (which, by the way is a total pain after they pile up in my closet to haul them down a flight of stairs, load them in my car and take them to Broadripple Park). I am always looking for ways to improve even if they are just little changes and am excited about learning more. Anyway, I am happy to be a part of this new organization and also proud to say that I am the first member to join in Indiana! If you are interested please check them out at

Welcome Amelia Romeril!

Last week my oldest friend in the world gave birth to her first child Amelia! Lindsay and I have been friends since we were 6 years old. I spent the majority of my weekends and summers with her and her family when we were little so I was so honored and excited to meet her little girl. She is just beautiful. Lindsay has always been amazing when it comes to children so I know motherhood will come naturally to her. I am glad we got shots of the whole family when I was there including Tally the dog. I am so excited to watch Amelia get bigger! She is going to be a part of my "Watch Me Grow" program so stay tuned for future posts!
